Adult Education

Your Community Foundation provides adult basic education classes and literacy programs that assists young adults in improving their scholastic performance. Our instructional approach uses small group, total group and individual assistance. It combines academics with career-related goals and community service activities in a service-learning approach. Besides improving in basic education skills, education development can lead to young adults obtaining a high school equivalency diploma or a locally issued adult high school diploma.

By participating in YCF’s adult education and literacy programs, our young adults have become more marketable to employers, making it easier for them to find jobs.
